AGA Press Release - January 17, 2011
The Accredited Gemologists Association is pleased to announce that JIBNA Personal Jewelry Insurance is the Inaugural Platinum Sponsor of the AGA 2011 educational conferences.
In October 2010, the AGA Board of Governors approved a resolution to solicit sponsorships in support of the association’s educational conferences. JIBNA Personal Jewelry Insurance, which offers standalone jewelry policies to consumers, answered this call in dramatic fashion by pledging $10,000— the Platinum Level Sponsorship!
JIBNA is the exclusive underwriting manager in the United States for personal jewelry insurers and enjoys the highest financial rating. The company’s appraisal standards and education-driven focus make JIBNA a natural fit for the AGA. Sponsors will be acknowledged during AGA conferences and events, including the Tucson Conference and evening Gala Dinner Dance honoring the 2011 Bonanno Award winner, Stuart Robertson.
In addition to their generous conference support, JIBNA President Dave Hendry also requested that 8 conference scholarships be awarded by the AGA’s Board of Governors to jewelry appraisers who would benefit from, but not otherwise be able to attend, the 2011 Tucson Conference. This was done in early January. Recipients are thrilled and looking forward to this unique educational opportunity.
In addition to the Platinum Level, Gold ($5,000), Silver ($2,500) and Bronze ($1,000) level sponsorships are also offered. Sponsorship money is used exclusively to support AGA’s educational efforts.
