Professional, Quality, Carbide Scriber

Carbide Scriber

scriber tips

Carbide Scriber with 2 interchangeable points which are easily stored within the scriber.

Using a carbide scriber on the pavilion of fancy-color diamonds is the quickest and easiest way to determine if the color is the result of a surface coating, or as Serenity Technology describes it, an infusion treatment. While it will not scratch with a steel scriber, it scratches easily with a carbide scriber, which you can see instantly with your loupe.

This "deluxe" model provides 2 points - a fine point and a standard point which is a little thicker. The points are stored inone end of the pen and inserted as needed into the other end.

NOTE: After use, the point you are using should be removed and stored again in the other end. While very hard, the carbide points are brittle and if the pen is dropped on the point at just the right angle and with just the right force, you can chip or break it. **
